June 2022 Quarterly Invite from Boyertown Lodge

Boyertown Lodge No. 741 was planning on live streaming the June Quarterly communication in our fellowship hall on the morning of the event on June 11th at 9:30am.  We have a large screen, projector, and roku speaker and we were going to watch the event while enjoying some coffee and donuts.  We’ve got ample space, so we were extending the invite to brothers from other lodges within the mighty 40th to join us if they’d like.  I’ll bring some printed out flyers to School.

An Important Message from the RWGS

From: Mark A. Haines <RWHaines@pagrandlodge.org>
Subject: FW: reminders

The Grand Master has asked me to update you with the following:

The Grand Master has designated June as casual attire month. Should any of your lodges choose this option, members are permitted to wear casual attire (no shorts, jeans and /or sneakers). Officers are still required to wear Masonic dress and regalia for the meetings.

The Grand Master has issued the attached blanket dispensation allowing the lodges to conduct combined EA & FC degrees during the month of September.

Also, as a reminder if you are aware of any award recipients (Master Builder; Craftsman and/or Pillar) who will be attending the Quarterly Communication in Johnstown, please provide us with their names and lodge numbers. The awards need to be given to me Friday evening or Saturday morning prior to the Communication.

Thank you; safe travel to all.

Summer School of Instruction

There will be a School of Instruction summer series beginning July 5, 2022 and continuing weekly, every Tuesday, July 26, being the last session, at Thomson Lodge No 340, in Paoli.  The series will begin with the Business of the Lodge, succeeded by the Entered Apprentice Degree, followed by the Fellow Craft Degree, and ending with either the Master Mason Degree or possibly a question and answer session with probably the Director of the Ritualistic Work, Brother Larry Buzzard.

The 40th has been tasked with exemplifying the FC Degree or possibly just doing the mechanics, as we did at the Sectional School in Philadelphia in April. We can discuss this at the next district School of Instruction, June 1.

Thank you.

Memorial Day parade in Pottstown

Stichter Lodge No 254 has volunteered to march in the Memorial Day parade in Pottstown.

For those planning on being in the Memorial Day Parade this Monday, please be at the Lodge by 8:30 AM.

Rally time at Goodwill Fire Company is between 9:00 to 9:30 AM with step-off sometime around 10:00 AM.

Goodwill Fire Company is having a breakfast that morning,  I’m unsure how much it costs per person, but always nice to support our local fire companies (responders).

Officers (WM, SrWdn, JrWdn should be in tails and regalia.

Others may be in business casual such as polo shirts (Stichter Lodge preferred)

and khakis,   I will have for sale several of the Stichter Lodge polo shirts that morning.

Any questions, reach out to me.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Worshipful Master Allan Makins, Jr., 2022

On May 2, 2022 the DDGM visited Phoenix Lodge No 75 with an official visitation hosted at SpringFord. Prior to the stated meeting Phoenix served a wonderful meal and the District Deputy completed the official visitation tour for 2022.

PHOENIX Visitation on May 2nd

The WM of Phoenix Lodge would like to let everyone know that they will be having a dinner of beef brisket, chicken, vegetable and potatoes at their visitation. Visitation will be held at the Spring Ford Lodge with dinner starting at 6:30pm.

He requests that the other WM’s email him <lonewolf0320@gmail.com> a head count as to who will be attending as soon as possible so they can judge the amount of food accordingly. Hope to see you all there!
